Professional Development Event - Who Are You When You Coach?
In this session we will explore personal identity to consider how our own experiences, interests, values & beliefs may show up for us and those we work with, and how this may impact our response in a Coaching & Mentoring enviroment.
Time & Location
27 Jan 2023, 09:30 – 12:30
Kingston upon Hull, Hull HU6 7RX, UK
About the Event
As individuals we all have multiple identities, and we will present different parts of ourselves in different situations. For example, you may be a parent, son/daughter, teacher, friend, gym goer, Christian, vegetarian, Eastenders fan, cat owner etc ect … and all these examples provide a slightly different view of you and how others may relate or connect to you.
Each of us has a unique social makeup, we come from different backgrounds, have different experiences, different interests, and hold different values and beliefs that make us who we are. In this session we’ll delve a little deeper into some of these things, with the aim of considering not only who we are, but how we are, and how we turn up in a Coaching & Mentoring environment.
Those who attend will have the opportunity to meet with and work with other Coach/Mentors in the Yorkshire Accord network and be offered an opportunity to increase their own self-awareness, gaining access to new models, theories and approaches that you may also be usefully applied within a Coaching & Mentoring context.
